Tap, cask. Pours a golden color with a creamy white head. Aroma of floral hops, somee malt, citrus notes. Flavor is citrus, floral hops, some pale malts. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, creamy, bitter finish. Good stuff.

On the firkin @ the smokehouse: Hazy copper color with an off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and some sweet malts. Flavor, sweet caramel up front with some light fruits, citrus, and piney hops on the finish, some oranges as well. There is an interesting spice to it that comes through at the end. Pretty unique taste, I really enjoyed it.

Written on the board as "KMBA IPA" -- Sampled from CASK on 11/08/2006 at Barleys Smokehouse (Ale House #2)... Very mellow and creamy compared to the Barley’s Centennial IPA. This one seemed to have more maltiness. Not quite as bitter either. However, the alcohol seems more evident in this one.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2006 On cask at the smokehouse - pour is amber with a nice fluffy offwhite had with good rentention and lacing down the glass. Aroma is a nice hoppy grapefruit and pine with an underlying presence of caramel malt. Flavor starts out somewhat bitter but quickly the caramel malts show through only to be blended back in with the grapefruit and pine to make a nice balanced wonderful IPA. Palate is medium bodied smooth and creamy. A real delight in the IPA world.. Nice..

Firkin
Slightly hazy, deep orange body. No head. No lacing.
Big malty aroma with a surprisingly subdued hop aroma. Some alcohol.
Lots of pine here. Lots. But a big, malty backbone to support the huge hopiness (10X dry-hopped in the cask). Reminds me of 90-minute in the old 750 bottles.
Medium-bodied and silky smooth cask mouthfeel. Long finish.

Had this on tap at the smokehouse. Pours a clear orange amber. The thin white frothy head is mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Nose of orange, lemon, pine, spruce, and pineapple. The robust flavor is deep and excellently balanced with a blend of sweet warmth and bitterness. The finish is long and slightly burnt. The full body is dry and soft. The finish feels very astringent. The highlight of my most recent visit to the Smokehouse.

Pours a cloudy gold/orange color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is full of hops and citrus. This is an awesome IPA! This will definitely become one of my favorite Barley's beers!

Citrus aroma, almost like a glass of grapefruit or heck even orange juice(odd). Orange and cloudy. I gotta go with dogbrick here, up front it is very citrusy and a little sweet. Remarkly little acidity. Odd brew, but one I enjoyed!
