This was a drastic different beer compared to the standard APA. It was a lot more complex beer. A little more hoppy but not as balanced.

On draught at Ale House #1 (the last keg!). Glad I got to try this before it was gone. This brew is a bright amber color with a gold hue. Medium thin off-white head with thin but sticky lacing. The aroma is well-hopped. A little on the thin side with a decent hops kick, along with a little malt and fruit as well. The finish is lasting and I detected a little sour apple flavor in it along with the hops. A good beer to accompany a game of darts at the brewpub.

bender (293) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2003
A golden orange to amber body with a quickly dissipating white head. No lacing.
Smells like Cascade but not overwhelmingly.
Tastes strongly of hops with some malt characteristics. Very simple and clean beer.
A bit astringent but not detracting from the beer.

This should not be confused with Barley's Pale Ale (which is also an APA). This was the winner of their home brew contest. An ok beer w/ hints of apple hidden between the hops. I thought it promised much more than it actually delivered.
