3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy dark amber pour. Not really any head, but soild waves of visible carbonation sneaking up through thick and oily body. Like watching a fishtank after the fish have eaten, movement is slow but visually stimulating. Egg yolk leads in the aroma, how odd. Sweet and sour, like a Pan-Asian influenced winter warmer. Flour in the aroma smells like a fruity, unbaked cake batter. Tart fruits and MSG-like sweetness, along with apple and a blend of holiday spices are pervasive scents. In the flavor, spices are easily identifiable: coriander, huge ginger, lesser nutmeg. Honey and berries round things out in a comical manner. Finishes moderately sweet with looming spice. Mouthfeel is medium, smooth, not overly alcoholic. Weird.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy of Boboski. The aroma is fruity as hell if hell was a place that had an excess of fruity aromas. It holds a lot of apple, ale esters and very faint spice. The body is a cloudy/murky brown and is still and headless. The first sip reveals a big fruit and malt combo that are far and away the defining features of the beer. You get some faint spice in the finish, but this is mostly a strong a fruity affair. Itís kind of like a gay weight lifting meet in that way. But, unless you hate fruit (or strong gay guys) you canít really dislike this. Itís a bit clumsy, but in a drinkable way.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hand bottle thanks to moejuck. Poured a very hazy brown color with a small off-white head and cascading bubbles that took a few seconds to form and start due to the thickness of the beer. Sweet thick malt with cinnamon and ginger. The cinnamon got stronger as the beer warmed. Some brown apple flesh also in there. No alcohol in the aroma. Sweet and fruity. More aged apple flesh. Some spice but lighter than the aroma. No alcohol taste but nice warmth. Medium to full body and silky smooth.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hand bottled... Murky brown ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is sweet and spicy with earthy notes as well; caramel, cinnamon, ash and deep roasted malts. Tangy, sweet flavor with hearty malt, spice, orange peel and warming alcohol. Earthy hops, but low bitterness. Medium to full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and restrained carbonation. Finishes tangy and sweet. A million thanks to moejuck for providing the sample!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12-oz. handbottled sample provided by moejuck. Pours lightly cloudy tawny with spare white head and lacing, mostly diminishing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, caramel, nutty), average hops (perfume, flowers), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of brown sugar, toffee and soap. Moderate sweetness and bitterness, heavy acidity, alcohol and nutty, caramel malt flavor. Medium to full bodied, creamy texture, alchohilc palate.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample acquired in trade with moejuck (thanks!). Poured a deep, murky brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Subdued aromas of oranges, caramel, and spices (Iím getting cinammon and light ginger). Stong orange peel begins the tastes that give way to ginger, toffee, citrus, light cinammon, nutmeg, honey, and Iím getting some dark fruits in there as well. A lot going on once you get past the orange peel. Even a few minutes after my last sip, I can still smell & taste the orange peels. I would have never guessed this puppy was over 11% as i was not getting any alcohol in it at all.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Murky and cloudy copper color. The aroma is yeasty with orange zest and light cinnamon or nutmeg. The mouthfeel is full and sticky. The taste is very nice--a good blend of sweet malt, citrus flavors, and a hint of honey. Very impressive effort from Barleyís.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep brown with a nose of cinnamon and citrus. Moderate lacing and head. Initial taste is cinnamon and orange citrus with a finish of light malts. Only a hint of the alcohol. I suggest letting it warm up a bit, the cinnamon is much more apparent as it warms.
