Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival, 11 February 2010. Mid gold colour. Light condition. Not a lot of aroma. Some pleasant tart citric fruity notes on the palate. Dry and clean, but rather flat mouthfeel.

Cask at The Drunken Duck, Ambleside, Cumbria, home of the Barngates Brewery. Gold with a white head. Floral hop and malt in the aroma. Sweet malty taste with some unchallenging fruitiness. Some bitterness.

Cask at the Drunken Duck Inn, Barngates. First few pints I tried were clear and tasty, however, on a recent visit it poored with a slight haze and had a very bitter finish and was slightly cool. Still a nice pale ale given that it’s only 3.6%. Hit and miss high turnover staff at the Drunken Duck some of which cannot poor a decent pint, which affects the quality of the beer.
