Cask; Regular. Also available bottled (bottled by Hambleton Ales).

Golden ale, fresh spicy hop aroma, fruity bitterness builds to a refreshingly dry finish. Satisfying and moreish.

Bottle from the Cartmel village shop. Appearance - golden amber with a nice head. Nose - biscuits and spice. Taste - more spicy biscuits with a hint of underlying lemon. Palate - medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent crunchy bitter.

GBBF Day 3. Lightly hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. The pale malt is slightly sweet. Light noble hop bitterness, slightly floral. Subtle bubblegum ester. Finishes dry with a reasonable bitter linger.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild peachy and light citrusy. Toasted malty, bitter and light caramelish. Sweet and toasted. Mild bitter. Lingering malty and medium dry into the finish.

Bottle from Ambleside Wines. Pours a dark yellow, clear with no head. Powerful aroma of ginger and brown sugar. Very bitter taste with a big bitter finish. Strong hops. Some bread. A little fizz on the tongue. An impressive, well balanced ale.
