Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 16, 2007 Draft. A dark yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, and a light touch of berries. The flavor is sweet malty with quite a lot of alcohol, but also a light touch of metal, leading to a dry bitter and alcoholic finish. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 17, 2006 (On tap) Clear, fully golden with a white head. Clean, malty aroma with a touch of alcohol. Medium-bodied with plenty, lightly sweet notes of pilsener malt. Dry, hoppy finish. A very simple Heller Bock in perfect balance. Nothing fancy but very decent. 091106 pivnizub (4181), Porúří, Germany Dec 16, 2005 Bottle (bought at Barnikel’s) Slightly hazy, golden coloured, mid-sized, fluffy head, quickly diminishing; faint aromas: citrus, sweet malts, barnyard, alcohol; soft bitter-sweet flavour; longer, quite hoppy and a bit sweetish finish; quite light bodied or well hidden alcohol. A decent, easy drinkable Bock, but not great, because too "bland"..............
