Swing top bottle, golden color, small head that fades away immediately. Vinous aroma. Apple, hint of milk. Low on carbon. Sweetish flavor with apple, malt, vinous. Pineapple, barnyard. Hoppy aftertaste with some blackcurrant. Complex beer from a small brewery.

Platt herber Antrunk mit wässrigen noten. Kaum hopfig, sehr eigen nach Holz, röstig, sehr muffig. Zum Ende faul holzig, unpassend. Weniger gut. 9/7/7/7//7

Maria (8572) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2011
Bottle at home. It’s golden with a light grey hue and a small head. The aroma has notes of butter and malt, and the mouth-feel is flat. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of way too much butter, malt and a little flowers, and the finish is dry. The best before date is not marked or stamped, so maybe it’s too old?

MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - NOV 17, 2010
(draught at the brewpub and swing top bottle at home) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Slightly bready and yeasty malty aroma with a shy hoppy touch. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Pale malt-character with bready and grainy spots; moderately dry and bitter sweet finish. Not a highlight in Franconia. The bottled version was almost without carbonation/head and pretty flat. 07. & 14.XI.10

Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 7, 2009
Slight hazy tan. Rather full of diacetyl on the nose. Very buttery. Still has ok mouthfeel, though. Light bitterness and a fairly dry finish, though there is harsh butter throughout. Truly old-school beer for a truly old-school pub.

Beershine (4710) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUL 20, 2009
Draft @ brewery. Bright gold with bigger head than the dunkles but it fades fast. Buttered popcorn aroma. Oily palate. Rancid coconut oil, baby diapers and plastic. Painful.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, small head. Grassy nose with well structure mild creamy malt underneath. Medium sweet and meium bodied. Carefully hoppy with light salty ashy bitterness. Through well made.

Bottle. Clear golden colour, thin white head. No bitterness but very hoppy with a light malty note. Hoppy finish of average duration. Not the best from this brewery.

Ungstrup (23918) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 16, 2007
Draft. A yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a slight touch of hops. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry bitter finish. A very raw beer - definateley too raw for the styly.

(On tap) Clear, fully golden with a fine, creamy, off-white head. Sweetish, malty aroma. Medium-bodied with sweet - but oddly unclean - malt notes before a short, dry and lightly hoppy finish. 091106
