COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American Pale Ale, the beer was brewed in collaboration with Bicycle Craft Brewery, a new brewery opening soon in Ottawa. A Pale Ale with a “good amount of malt backbone, so that it balances the hop bitterness”, the beer still has a good amount of hop flavors and aromas coming through.

Pours a nice orange amber colour with a big frothy head. The head disappears quickly but great lacing. Barnone always has great lacing, the sign of a quality made beer. Smells of pine, citrus, and grass. Tastes of big pine, bread, and caramel as well as some honey sweetness. Has a lighter body with lively carbonation, which makes it go down almost too easy. It finishes off with a lingering pine bitterness, that seems like it never leaves. I love the freshness of all Barnone’s brews and this was a great collaboration, because I think Bicycle helped bring out the malt backbone. I could always go for one of these.

A really nice collaboration from BarNone and Bicycle Brewing. This orange-amber ale has a foamy white head that dissipates quickly but leaves great lacing. It has an aroma of juicy, fruit tropical hops, honey and a little wheat. Taste is mildly sweet, caramel malts and lightly fruity papaya and citrus. It finishes with some nice bitterness to keep things from going to Sweety Town. I find the mouthfeel somewhat lacking, not full enough but the flavour and smell is enjoyable enough to mostly disregard that. I hope this is on tap around Charlottetown soon.
