2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 duff (5483) - St, Margarets, - SEP 19, 2004
Cask@The Wenlock Arms, London. Not really gold in colour at hall, more amber brown. This tasted like a slightly below average bitter, grainy, with some saltyness in the finish, slightly bitter.

Cask Handpump at the Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 24/09/2004
Amber coloured with some subtle hopping. Fruitiness and a slightly bitter malt finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2004
This is a curious beast. The name suggests a fresh, blonde ale, but its just a mediocre copper/amber session bitter. Perfectly drinkable, but there’s nothing that really stands out. Cask (handpump), Wenlock Arms, London.

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London. Don’t be fooled by the name, there’s nothing gold about this beer. A bitter and that’s about all. It was a pleasure to meet the TheDM, Hotstuff, The_Beer_God and Nicole. Thanks for hooking up. See you on the other side of the pond.

Wenlock. Fresh, clean session bitter. Not a Golden Ale, just an average bitter.

Tamworth Festival. Brewed by Blackpool for the defunct Barnsley brewery (I think - the history of these two brewers is messy to say the least). Anyway, it’s a rather dull gold and rather woody, in a little-bit-stale sort of way.
