Tap at the Pool Room. This is the second time trying this beer. Poured beautifully, thick tan head atop a black body. Its very sweet, there is also a lactose-like character I get in a few of their beers. I liked it very cold, as it warmed up it was harder to drink. Sticky on the palate, and overwhelming sweetness.

Shaker pint draft at the Pool Room in Lawrence, Kansas. Pour is a brown golden, hazed with a smallish off white head. Thick lacing left behind as the beer drinks down. Aroma is mild roast malt, along with a faint vanilla sweetness. Taste picks up on the roast, lightly charred, then some very faint milky sweetness, finally turning to a gypsum mineral dry finish. Palate is light bodied, active carbonation, and a smooth dry finish. Picks up some body as it warms, but not much. Nicely drinkable porter.
