CaptainCougar (4709), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 15, 2007 Transparent orange bronze with a thin ring of off-white head. Aroma of slightly toasted malt with a heavy dose of vinegar and citrus hops. Body starts lightly sweet with some fruity tartness and grainy malts toward a drier finish. The tartness doesn’t come through as much as the aroma implied, but it’s still not the way it’s intended I’m assuming. Cletus (3602), Connecticut, USA Oct 16, 2007 Bomber courtesy of 5000. Pours copper with a small white head. Smells of roses, caramel and very ESB like. Tastes of caramel, earth, roses, some bitter malt. Lots of tea and roses in this one. Overall, not very representative of the category. CapFlu (3364), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 9, 2008 (Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2008 in Victoria, September 7. Pours a thin, dissipated yellow head with a clear copper body. Very bready and full. Above average. badgerben (3264), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Feb 14, 2008 Thanks to Skyview. Cloudy copper color with no head. Caramel aroma with plenty of Noble hop. A bit of sourness that carries to the flavor. More sweet caramel. Simple but good.
