Bottle: Fiery amber, fairly clear, moderate frothy light beige head, spotty lacing, light carbonation.   Very soft toasted malt nose, slight caramel, a little bit of straw and sweet grass.   Not too bad!   Sweetish Caramel and/or Vienna malts up front, grassy, a little bit funky on the backside but it remains very palatable.   Much heavier and sweeter than mainland examples.   Pretty darn clean, lingering sweet grass and Vienna malts after the finish.   Medium to full bodied, moderate mouthfeel.   One of the more flavorfull examples I have had in a long time.   Only slight minor biscuity twang after the finish, but its minor.   Remains sweet well after the finish.   Good stuff!   Well done Jeff and Mike!

Thanks to Skyview. Cloudy copper color with no head. Caramel aroma with plenty of Noble hop. A bit of sourness that carries to the flavor. More sweet caramel. Simple but good.

Caramel malts, nuts and a little butter in the aroma. Pours amber in color with almost no head. Flavor is sweet and malt accentuated with some nice nutty flavors and a little butterscotch. Finishes sweet with some lingering caramel notes. Pretty enjoyable!

Typical marzen coloring and aroma, though a bit more muted than some of the better versions. Decent enough taste and balance, again following the standard marzen.

On tap at the Parkway Tavern in Tacoma. Not a bad looking pint coming over the counter, reddish brown and a bit of foam over the edge. A little light and surprisingly dry at the front, and then a strong grassy flavor on the middle of the tongue. The finish was more like a typical marzen, but by then, I was left wondering whether I liked it. It’s a little different, drinkable and worth a try, but not my favorite fall brew.
