2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 natrat (66) - Ucluelet, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2005
GCBF. Poured a beautiful clear straw colour. A bit light by my standards, but nice. Aroma was great, spicy hoppy with a dry bite to my nose. Taste was very crisp and clear and dry. Like some super dry ciders I’ve had. Not bad, and refreshing on this hot day. Not my favourite beer, and not what I’d call a pils, but great for the volleyball match at the beach.

Tap at GCBF. Incredibly pale straw colour. Looks like a cider. Light spicy aroma along with a very fresh malt character. Grass/hay aroma as well. Flavour is fairly thin, low bitterness but has a light spicy finish. No flaws, just not enough flavour to really recommend it.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUL 18, 2005
Draught @ mattbob’s place: Very pale yellow, clear, huge white pilowy head, light carbonation, very sticky lacing. Pale malt nose, oats, grassy. Soft malt up front, somewhat sweet, very grassy... smooth. Seems fairly big in body and mouthfeel for a pilsner. Very subtle hop presense at the exit. Very enjoyable, clean, crisp, and probably one of the better Baron beers I have had.

Draught, Diamond Knot Bright golden colour with thin white head. Sweet, fresh malt character. Only a hint of fruity hoppiness. Low bitterness. Fairly quick finish. An odd interpretation. I’m more of a Pickla Pils kind of guy.
