In the bomber bottle from Seattle Bottleworks. Pours a light amber/ dark gold color with a thin white head. The aroma is of intense smoke- not Bamberg campfire intensity, but a really pleasant roasted meat variety. This is the best feature of the beer by far. The flavor is very disappointing and lapses into a thin and simple lager. No meatiness, nothing chewy and certainly not smoky enough for me. The body is quite watery. Overall, I can do without this one, but she sure smells nice.

Bottle at Paul’s gathering. Lightly smoked, vegetal, lactic. Flavor is harshly vegetal, hammy, smoked eggplant. Very dull. This aint no Aecht.

Medium amber with a good whiteish head. Smells like ham or bacon and eggs - very weird and strangely smokey. Flavor is a bit bland and sweet. Interesting but not great.

Clear amber with a fleeting head. Nice smoked meat/jerky aroma. Medium body and smooth. A fairly mild flavor is Helles lager with only a hint of smoky jerky lingering in the finish. A big smoke smell with a light smoke taste was a bit of a letdown for me.

Slightly hazy light golden color with a thin, loose white head. Very, very light smoke, cellophane on the aroma. Mild lagery taste, no appreciable smoke. Very light, almost watery palate. Just a decent lager with a small of hint of smoke.

bottle courtsey of jayg: pours a golden prange small white head. aroma is slight smoke not to much blends well with the caramel malts and some fruity aroamas. flavour is light not alot of smoke, but good sweet caramel, not over the top smoke but not bad.

Pours amber with an offwhite head and is semi hazy in the glass. Smell is very lightly smoky, and has a strong lager, yeasty and malt quality. Taste is lightly smoky, with sticky lager malt, and a lightly sweet flavor. Somewhat thin bodied and light on the lighter side flavorwise as well. Light carbonation as well. This was decent and drinkable.
