COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Baron Schwarzbier is a classic German black beer.  The color is black with tinges of ruby and brown.  The flavor is full and crisp.  The Schwarzbier starts with a slight roast flavor upfront followed by a faint chocolate body with a very crisp clean lagered finish.  A very full yet drinkable lager.

22. Black with no head, lace, or visible carb. Mild roasty, cola-like nose. Fizzy thin body. Roasty, cola-like mid-palate, with a long cola finish. Needs a little breadth of flavor, and some more visible carb and head. Plenty of carb in the body; maybe a bit too much.

Bomber from Enniskillen; Nose of roastiness, chocolate, and very light smokiness; clear very dark brown with a small beige head; flavor has roasted light coffee with a little licorice note.Just a little hint of an off flavor in the finish.

22oz via Capital Market. Ok, i have only had a couple of this style..but have been wanting to try a good one. This pours a brown/black with ruby highlights and a semi-tan head. Nose is all about roasted grains, and a little chocolate. THis tastes very carbonated, with lots of nut, some roastiness, and some berry notes. THe dark currants are there but they are buried undrneath the roasted malts. Mouthfeel is abit thin, carbonaton a bit high. But still..this is good for what it is..just drop the carbonation a bit and this will be outstanding!

Black ale ,with a nice sized thick ,frothy tan head. nice malt centered aroma, sorty of toffeeish in character. Again malt driven taste, semi-sweet, caramel, English toffee , some tingle of hopping below all this but barely there, like "DA" I find a slight smokiness almost in the aftertaste. Ok on the palate, low carbonated and smooth. Not my favourite style, but i found this nice and easy to drink.

One of my favorite styles in the fact that they have a lot of character with a very smooth and light body so you don’t get full after a pint, and this was pretty well done. Creamy on the palate with a roasty chocolate malt flavor and hints of melted caramel. Slight smoked character in the finish. Pours dark brown with a small khaki head.

(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2007 in Victoria on September 8th, 2007. Lasting white creamy head with a deep brown. Again, the spicy yeast. Interesting stuff. Brown malt, wet wheat. Somewhat lacking the malt for a Schwarzbier?
