Dickinsonbeer (5076) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 9, 2010
GABF 09. Pours a dark amber brown with amber highlights- ok head. Aroma is initially very woody, oak, sour notes, cherry pit, some good meaty smokiness, campfire and spice- some malts- toast and sharp bicuit and caramel. Earthy woody flavor with smoke and a sour prickliness, slight acetic notes, lactic acid- milky and paper oxidation, cherry skin and pit with big caramel and toasted sweet malts. Gets a bit wierd and slightly astringent with a tart finish but it wasn’t bad- and had a lot of things I like all mixed into one beer- pretty cool.

BeerandBlues2 (6096) - Lone Tree, Colorado, USA - OCT 11, 2009
GABF 2009. Pours dark brown with an average, creamy light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, straw), average hop (herbs), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of plum, sour milk, and vinegar. Medium bodied, stick texture, average carbonation, and a tart finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity, and moderate tartness; some pickle characteristics.

GABF 2009, One the strangest beers I ve ever had. Dark pour, mesquite smokiness, sour twang, dopplebock maltiness. Strange combination
