aracauna (2221), Georgia, USA Apr 2, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a small head. The aroma has a nice nuttiness, kind of along the lines of a hazelnut. The flavor has a decent maltiness, but very little hop character. A slightly soapy quality to the finish, but not in an offensive way.
Acknud (554), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Jul 22, 2008 Amber pour with fluffy head. Aroma is really weak. I don’t get much. Taste is malty, slightly sweet. Slightly chocolaty. I don’t know what wattle seeds are so I can’t comment there. DarkBeer (8), Ohio, USA does not count Jul 21, 2008 I bit thin for me, but something about the flavor makes me want to try one with a crisp green salad. I’ve never had that thought before while drinking berr. Chrism86 (8), , Australia does not count Jul 18, 2008 Appears a deep amber tending to copper with a rather loosely packed off white head. Nose displays a significant sweet malt presence supported by roasted hazelnut aromas. The palate produces brown sugar and caramel notes with roasted hazelnuts appearing once more to drive home a sweet malt finish. Overall, a little thin to mine.
Guinness4Duff (429), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Deep amber pour with a thick off white head. Aroma has some caramel and a bit of yeast to it. Flavor has a good caramel base and a strange other taste, apparently thats wattle seed. Something different which I always like to find, but I probably wouldnt buy this again. KnN (219), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours a kind of sad looking watery brown with an off white head and a bit of carbonation. Smell is a little nutty with some decent malt characteristics. I must not like wattle seeds though because the flavor started as interesting and then quickly degraded into undrinkable as the beer warmed. This was a sink pour unfortunately.
