Don’t have a clue what wattle seed is or what it tastes like.
Pours deep amber with cream color head with some lacing.
Aroma is chocolate.
Taste is chocolate, rich dark malts, enough hops to balance malts. Nice dry finish. Interesting brew. Enjoyed the experience. Found the best by date in a small oval just below the neck. Very hard to read. B.B. date was 7-21-08.

Oct 6, 2008 Bottle shared by durhambeer - thanks, Bob! Fruity, dark orange, with a modest head. I confess to not knowing what watte seed was prior to reading about the beer I’d aready consumed. But my taste told me that this was an average red ale with sweet malts and a trace of sour mixed in with some chocoate, honey, and nut flavors.

Oct 5, 2008 Rich brown clear pour, off white head. Distinctively odd sour malty aroma. Nutella (chocolate and hazelnut). Some Bit O’Honey and bitter toffee. Some wattle seed, I guess, that adds a distinctively roasty nut/seed taste. Interesting.

Oct 3, 2008 Pours a red copper with a thin fizzy light tan head. The nose is nutty, earthy, sweet, malty, lightly spiced. The flavor is malty, sweet, earthy, nutty/grainy malt, light leafy hops, some bitter bite. The wattle seed comes through a little bit but definitely isnt overpowering.
