COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An exceptionally full-bodied Porter style ale that is as dark as it gets! We use generous amounts of drum roasted barley malt and choc chit malt to produce the coffee and chocolate characters that balance with the mocha and ripe stone fruit aromas. Nottingham ale yeast is used to retain the true Porter style. Classic English style Fuggles Hops are used for bittering and subtle aroma. Fermentation occurs at 23 degrees to create a distinctive fruity character. A great antidote to our long winter nights, Greenock Dark Ale is one gutsy brew but is remarkably easy to drink. At only 4.4% alcohol, you can safely enjoy a couple!

Bottle. A deep and dark brown with a tight beigr foamy head. A cola-like caramal aroma. A full mouthfeel, roasted malt on the palate, and a herbal hoppiness coming through with the swallow. A dry finish. Well balanced.

A really good porter style. Lots of coffee and roast aroma which flows onto the palate, very smooth and creamy too. A combo of choc. chit malt and roast malt with fuggles the main hop variety. On tap at the Greenock Tavern
