2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled: Light hoppy and grainy aroma. Huge creamy head, dark golden color. Flavor is quite tasteless, light sourly, some grainy and some unpleasant components. Light notes of bitter hops in the end. Dry light bitter finish. Boring.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A very nice amber colour but a flat head. Taste is light and sweet with clear malty notes but no long palate. Rather neutral as a total.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice looking 0,33 l bottle. Clear and very dark golden in the glass, two finger off white head. Malty with some sweetness on the nose. Starts malty, some caramell, hints of nuts and cherry. Grainy middlepart with malt in the background. Smooth. Increasing malty in the aftertaste. Low bitterness. Okay.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer starts smooth malty, soft with a nice malty-amber aroma. Very smooth, hints of roast, nice bittered. Easy to drink, very soft and caramel smooth, nice caramel-dry aftertaste with a moderate bitterness and hints of roast. Great Festbier!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: Very much like German apple juice, golden, clear, medium tanned head which faded quickly without leaving much lacing. S: Rubber, grassy hoppyness. T: Charcoal, grass, slightly yeasty, bittersweet. M: Moderate carbonation, medium body, smooth. O: Had high hopes after the impressive Dunkel from the same brewer, pretty bland, hard to classify, but decent enough.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle, saved from a disbanded Kalea/Die freien Brauer tin box at REWE. Pours an already aromatic amber/deep golden with stable head. Fresh proteins and grains set an inviting enough entrée. Fresh bready malts, bread crust, caramels and spicy hops with a herbal edge and almost a Saaz-y bite harmonise towards what feels more like a substantial 5,5% Märzen/Oktoberfest or edgier Bohemian pilsner than a 4,8% Helles. Tasty, well-rounded for the style, with a lingering finish. Much more in tune with itself than some newfangled dryhopped ale-oids. Another discovery made from a Kalea/Die freien Brauer box.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
2014 International Green Week in Berlin: in 2012 I had this breweries Pilsner and Dunkel, this year I had another Pilsner and tried their Festbier too.
Draught 0.3 litres.
Thought it might be a Marzen but it was lighter and wasn’t strong enough in alcohol or flavour as that style: still enjoyed it though, just don’t see it as a Fest Bier.
Golden Pilsner in looks, usual fading white crown on a bright and clean body.
Floral and slight grain nose with a semi-sweet feel to the taste before a dry bitter finish ends each sip. Just a little more to it that a basic Pilsner, but not much and by drinking it side by side with the breweries Pilsner I could pick up only very slight differences.

[Thanks to kevnic2008]. Bottle. Golden colour with a white head with good lasting and nice lacework. Aroma has notes of hay and grass with hints of cereal. Flavor is slightly hoppy, grassy with medium maltiness. The final is very slightly sweet and mild bittery.
