COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden Lager is brewed using a traditional German decoction mash. By decoction mashing, we are able to achieve a full malt profile that is complemented by the addition of spicy German hops. We condition our Dortmunder for a full eight weeks which allows the malt and hop characteristics within the beer to fuse together. All of these steps are evident in our final product: a medium- bodied golden lager showcasing a delicious malt flavor balanced with a Noble hop character. Malts: 2- Row, Munich 10L, Carapils Hops: Cluster, Hallertau, Tettnang

Draft at Tina’s in Cincy. Poured clear dark amber with an average creamy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate cereal malt and tart citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced medium sweet flavor with a light bitter finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer that I have recommended to two freinds to locate and try.

Sample at Brew Kettle: Amber-gold color with a minimal off-white head that manages to last awhile. Thing ring of lacing around the top of the glass. Floral hops, malt and a bit of spice in the nose. Light, clean body with floral hops, earthy malt and fruity flavors. Some underlying sweetness as well. The finish is crisp and lightly bitter. One of the better Dortmunder beers I have had in awhile.

Bottle sampled on 2/26/07: Pours a transparent golden bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of slightly toasty sweet pale malt has some nice German hoppy notes. Body starts fairly full with some earthy pale malty sweetness and a touch of light fruity notes toward a drier toasty finish. A decent Dortmunder.

Bomber. Poured clear, meaty golden with a short, but well-retained cap of creamy white head. The aroma picked up soft bready notes with a hint of sourdough as it warmed up.. earthy and grassy accents.. sourness was a little odd, but likely a product of age.. still very nice. The flavor found tacky caramel to complement the bready malts at the core.. sour lemon rind and earthy bitterness rode the edges leaving a very grainy impression on the finish. Medium-bodied with the sourness not working too well on the palate.. got caught up at the back. Decent overall.

Bottle courtesy of nolankowal. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Smells of nuts, citrus, spices and some peppery notes. Tastes of nuts and oranges with malt balancing everything out nicely. Mouthfeel is full bodied and peppery with a nice spicy finish.

In short: A amazingly drinkable fruity tart and almost wild (wtf?) blonde lager.
How: Bottle 22oz, drank very fresh a few days after purchase
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: Bready pils malts abound. Almost no sweetness flavour. Fruity flavours on the tart side of things with pineapples, lemon and such. I got some boiled eggwhite that somehow my palate gets from certain lager yeast strains. Medium strong acidic and tartness level. This beer is absurdly drinkable. An overall freshness sensation but also a certain “wilderness” that I’m not supposed to get from that type of beer but that was thoroughly enjoyable. That wild character and strong tartness for the style left me wondering if what I was drinking was the intended result or the pleasant outcome of a light bacterial infection. Just like with a Vietnamese prostitute the possible infection just didn’t hinder my enjoyment level.
