CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 5, 2007 Bottle sampled on 2/26/07: Pours a transparent golden bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of slightly toasty sweet pale malt has some nice German hoppy notes. Body starts fairly full with some earthy pale malty sweetness and a touch of light fruity notes toward a drier toasty finish. A decent Dortmunder. hopdog (4648), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 12, 2008 22oz bottle acquired in a couple of trades. Poured a medium golden color with a large sized head. Aromas of grains, yeasty, and some fruitiness. Tastes of grains, fruity, and bready. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Nov 13, 2007 Bottle: Gold color, light head and lacing. The nose is zesty with some snappy carbonation and citrusy hops, very floral and herbal for a dortmunder, but it comes across very nice. The flavor is balanced, some light malt notes and a bright hoppy backbone with a moderate amount of acidity. Excellent contrast between the flavor and the tail.
