Commercial Description:
The hunting of flying pigs was the exclusive pastime of Cincinnati's more eccentric beer barons. The thunderous sound of a flock of flying pigs erupting into flight was an experience never forgotten. The blunderbuss used in hunting this rare hog was so effective that by 1989 the species was extinct. But, "Oh, what a barbecue...." Our Pilsner is a clean, crisp beer with a delicious hop finish.

Several glasses on tap at the Cincinnati Blues Fest, Summer 2005. This is quite clean overall with a real fresh, slighly herbal and definitely sweet aroma, but not corny at all. Some bitterness -- actually I thought this was quite good. Sweetness came on a bit stronger later but nowhere near sticky.

Tap. Golden color with small white head. Low aroma of hops. Flavor and finish was medium of bitter hops. Drinkable bar brew.

Another nice beer from B.H. This pilsner has a nice hoppy background but is light and refreshing.

Better than average pils, slight wheaty aftertaste.

Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. Golden color with a thin head but decent lacing. Mildly hoppy aroma. This wasn’t so great but it was not skunky or flavorless like many Pilseners. Unfortunately it was pretty boring either way.
