COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the hill country of eastern Ohio lie the geological treasures of Old Man’s Cave, Conkels Hollow, and Cantwell Cliffs. Our Hefeweizen is a tribute to the natural wonder of these places; an authentic German Weissbier. This delicious beer is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted before! Hints of clove, banana, and vanilla are some of the flavors produced by the special strain of yeast we use. Because the beer is unfiltered, it becomes cloudy when chilled, in the traditional German way.

Thanks for letting me sample this beer JB. Hazy golden in color. Flavor is citrus, banana wheat and something sweet. This is what a summer beer should be like, nice and light bodied.

This was courtesy of Strykzone. Poured a hazy golden color with a fat white head that faded quickly and left decent lacing. .Nose is clove and banana Medium body and a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is very pronounced, more than many hefes with again banana and clove. Very nice for its type.

Bomber from Network liquor in Roseville. Pour is golden orange with a soapy white head. Aroma is sour apples and fruit. Taste again more sour apples and fruit along with some malt and yeast. Palate is slick and fizzy with a sticky dry finish. I found thish quite enjoyable and would drink again!

Hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma is very bready with the standard clove and banana with a hint of apricot. Taste is lemon right off the top with toasted bready malt and fruit behind it. Mild hints of clove and plenty of yeast on the finish. Goes down easy enough.

Bottle with many thanks to Phaleslu! Hazy straw, pours a very fizzy and quick lived white head, that leaves just a thin ring. Nose of clove, candy, some banana, bubblegum. Tastes immediately of sweet banana, cloves, thrills gum, peach. Medium bodied, a bit thin on the finish. Very sweet bubblegum aftertaste. Good. Thanke Peter!

22 oz. bottle. One of our few local beers that I am finally getting around to rating. Pours a hazy yellow color with a larger fluffy white head. The nose is pretty standard wheat with a mild clove and a slight touch of banana and splashes of yeast. The flavor is much of the same; wheat, cloves, yeast, and banana. Medium bodied and smooth. A decent offering and the price was right.

Draft sample at a Barrel House tasting at Teller’s of Hyde Park. Pours a hazy mustard tan color, almost like a grapefruit juice without any reddish tint. Aroma of banana, clove, bread, wheat, vanilla, and a little apple and citrus. Flavor follows suit really well- fruity, bready, and mildly spiced. Medium-full bodied and smooth, with a bready mouthfeel. Very nice hefe.

Bottle. Pours an apple juice body with a wispy bubbly head that diminishes to nothing with haste. Paper, apple, citric aroma. Dusty banana and clove with a lingering apple and bread y finish. Decent at best.

A lightly hazed gold pour with creamy off white head and lace. Rotten banana peel aroma mixed with bread dough. A yeasty, fruitiness, with a bready after taste. Carbonation was just over the top for me. Drinkable but not special.

Sampled at Beerhawk’s Beer Gods in the Boro, aka 1000 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, By God Beer God Gathering, BG1K Tasting. Hazy mustard pour. Lemon zest, a little tartness. Some musty spicy pepper in the aroma. Moderate carbonation. Pretty good as far as hefes go.

Bottle shared by decaturstevo. Poured a hazy yellow with a fizzy thin white head that left some light lace. Aromas of banana, bread dough, and yeast. The flavor found banana and light wheat. Medium body and fizzy carbonation.
