A seamless network of tracks, the covert trolley system of the 1920’s was the ticket to an American revolution, the revolt of Prohibition. Connecting underground speakeasies, mobsters teamed with bootleggers to distribute barrels of their precious brew. Let your palate travel the underground flavor network of this Belgian style wheat ale. Bright flavors of orange balanced by subtly spicy coriander make this unfiltered ale a reason to celebrate. Raise your glass for "This is a plea for beer!"

Appearance: Haze of oranges under a white bubbly airy head which fades into a decent collar and decent layer of foam. Swirls with the same effect.
Nose: Blanched grains, white breads, and water crackers. White pepper and coriander in the back. Faint lemon zest along the edges. Sun-dried husked grains in the middle. A mild nose overall.
Palate: Chewy and sweet with orange and peach infused white breads with a husked grains and seeds crust. Lemon rind and pith in the back swallow. Peach and apricot in the middle minus the bread. Pervasive chewy bready mouthfeel – nondescript. Coriander and flower petals linger atop my tongue.
Final Thoughts: Overall not too shabby – average. A blend of American Wheat and Belgian Wit was my overall impression. I’d drink it again if offered but I wouldn’t actively seek the Barrel Trolley Belgian White out. There are far better examples of this style.

Drank from a pint glass poured from a twelve ounce bottle. A nice sweet flowery aromas followed by a subtle spiciness of coriander. Golden yellow color with moderate cloudiness, and a thick white head that dissipates at an average rate. A nice sweet initial taste on the tounge that give way to a slight spicey flavor on the tounge with a dry sweet finish.

Cloudy yellow with a thin head that diminishes quickly. Fair amount of visual carbonation. Aroma of spice with some banana. Thin mouth feel with a watered taste. Lingering spice finish. OK for a summer selection though.

Little to no aroma. Cloudy yellow with no retention. Slight banana and clove flavoring. Palate is weak and watery. Maybe a good beer for the hot summertime.

This was in one of those mixed 9 packs from Cost Plus, cloudy light golden/straw colored with a minimal white head. Nose is faint, mostly spices, taste is pretty bland, carbonation is good, leaves the palate a little deprived. Overall mediocre, not quite a sink dump.

No retention and no lacing. Smells of semi-sweet malt and cloves. Tastes of wheat and lightly fruity malt. Not much to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Faint aroma, mostly of cloves with hints of banana and some spices. The flavor is very unusual though. Very faint with only the slightest hint of any of the spices that are in the aroma. The flavor disappears quickly. Very strange

12oz bottle, from Jungle Jim’s in Eastgate. Mostly clear but paler golden yellow color. Thin rocky white head. Pretty good, more full lace. Musty aroma. Dusty, basementy. Medium body. Kind of smooth, lighter carbonation. Aroma is pretty much just musty, dusty basement aromas, hint of super-rindy orange, minimal spice or peel zest, pretty much none at all of those latter two good flavors that I wish this had.. Just a lot of must, is predominate here. Moderate sweet, light bitter. Kind of spicy taste. Pretty bad belgian white. Why does it have to be so musty? Even those who love Blue Moon / Hoegaarden would be repulsed by this.

Pours hazy gold with white head. Smells of bread, little orange and lemon and yeast. Taste little lemon, orange and wheat with thin finish. Ok but not great.
