Malty caramel nose with slight treacle-phenolic notes as it warms up. Sweetish with a heavy mouth feel, slight bitter aftertaste. Reminded me of an English midland mild, but at 5.3%, much stronger. Drinkable, but lacking interest.

Bottle from a sixer from a discount grocery. Pours a dark copper with a beige head. Aroma seems a bit malty. Near medium body with somewhat foamy/fizzy carbonation. Flavor is more mild treacle than anything, but there is enough hop of some sort to keep the sweet a bit under control. Maybe there actually is a touch of hazelnut. Hard to be sure.

Bottle from bhensonb. Pours medium brown with a thick beige head and a nondeScript aroma. There is a medium-bodied roasted malt flavor with some hazelnut and a slightly bitter finish.

Pours a rootbeer brown color with a tan head that lasts with substantial lacing. Aroma of nuts and caramel with the same taste. Incredibly smooth for a brown ale. Definitely will drink this one again.
