Bottle on Amtrak Train 27 - The Empire Builder ( from Binny’s South Loop) - 04/11/12. Clear golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose comprises light floral tones, hops, pale malt and a little herb. Taste follows nose, fairly bland, floral and herb tones, light citrus. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Dull and bland.

No aroma and not a lot of flavor. Decent looking but downhill from there. Very thin and watery. Nothing here to recommend.

Bottle. Poured deep amber color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate smooth hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate balanced flavor with a smooth balanced finish of average duration. Soft drinkable brew

Well after the wit and the brown i was having high hopes. They were dashed. A malty pale ale with the hops and the dryness only at the end. Not that good.

Aroma is citrus and slightly off fruit. The flavor is citrus, vegetables, off tangy and too thick/rough in the finish.

355ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus and caramel. Taste is a light citrus and grass hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness underneath. Light bodied with decent carbonation. A decent pale ale, but nothing compared to a good West Coast pale ale.

From a bottle poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Light hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

Bottle; poured a dark gold type color with a large off white head. Aroma smelled a bit watered down, if that makes sense; herbs, flowers, caramel, and a light bit of fruit/sweetness. Flavor was also a bit lightweight, with a bit of a metallic finish. Finish was a bit abrupt at times. Flavor better, but not great. Caramel gives way to a bit of spicy/fruity hop finish, but not strong enough.

Pours a pale yellow color with aroma of citrus hops. Taste is a mild citrus flavor with a slight bitter aftertaste. A typical pale ale with nothing complex. Overall a decent beer that brings nothing special to my taste buds.

hopscotch (8776) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 11, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2012 Bottle… Clear orange ale with a large, frothy, off-white head. Good retention. The faint nose offers bread, citrus fruits and caramel. Light to medium-bodied and watery with lazy carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced but mostly bland, presenting light notes of barley malt, caramel and apple. Finishes flat and mildly sweet.
