On tap. Solid red, with a bit of a bite. Bland aroma, classic reddish brown color. Good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. cloudy amber with soapy head. Aromas of caramel, pine, fruity yeast. Additional Flavors of earth, light grapefruit, yeast. Plenty bitter but balanced. Body is very full and fresh. Lovely basic beer. Prefect flagship. Great use of hops.

16 oz pour Press 195 - local, fresh beer that looks like an amber but has all the qualities of a IPA. Dry, earthy hops are rounded out by a semi- sweet malt backbone. But the predominant feature of this beer is the hop profile. Nice local brew from long island. The hops linger on your tongue to the point that you could almost chew them. Very nice.

Cheers to JoeMcPhee for sharing the bottle. Mahogany colour with a frothy head. High carbonation. Toffee, caramel, fruit aroma. Thin texture. Great flavour, toffee, hop , fruit and tangy citrus aftertaste.

Deep amber pour with a tight pale tan head. The aroma has a lot of bright grapefruit citrusy hops and a little bit of deeper sweet malt character. Some light iced tea aroma along with a touch of light fruit as well. There is a hint of richness and a fairly pronounced bitterness as well. A sort of earthy bitterness along with a nice rich character. There is a bit of caramel but it’s not overly sweet. Has a touch of soft toast as well.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a hazy dark orange with a thick light tan head. Aroma of hop oils, grassy hops, citrus, caramel malt. Flavor is a nice balance between the hops and malt, leaning towards the hops in this case (although certainly not as hoppy/more malty than the IPA). Tasty stuff! 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]

Tap at RnH - Cooper/red pour. Nose is sweet malts. Sweet caramel malts and a bit nutty. Bit hoppy for a amber ale but I like that. Citrus and piney, lots of meadowy notes. Light spice hops and a touch vegetal. Finish is dry and bitter, but unlike most Barrier offerings, the astringency doesn’t linger for long. Solid amber, better than most.

flavor of caramel and red crayon with waft of hop. warming and mellow mouthfeel with a bit of sweetness. some toasted hay in the mix and altogeather quite a decent brew. I like a red that tastes red and i like a red beer head that tastes as good maybe better than the body of the brew. nice colors in the swirl as you finish the pint.

Draft at rattle n hum with streets and baron. Pours an amber body with no head, thin lacing. Aroma is fresh hops. Mouthfeel is nice with notes of fresh pine hops.
