3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 LilBeerDoctor (2609) - East Setauket, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Growler from the brewery. Pours a hazy light yellow with a small white head. Aroma of light spices (anise, pepper, coriander), Belgian yeast, melon rind, orange peel, and bready malt. Flavor is very bready with a light spice background. Super drinkable, especially at such a low abv. Good stuff! 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Glouglouburp (4772) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 26, 2012
In short: A flowery and grassy semi-rustic yellow ale. Splendid thirst beer
How: 500ml hand-bottle from Dickinsonbeer, Paul rules again!
The look: Almost clear yellow-blonde body topped by a medium bright white head with medium retention
In long: Pleasant semi-rustic nose that also has countryside wild flowers, some lemongrass. In mouth the beer tastes like chewing on freshly picked countryside wild flowers, some tasty bubblegum, grassy hops, freshly squeezed lemon without too much acidity, wheat sensation. Finish has very little bitterness and a moderate dryness. This beer is insanely drinkable. After drinking a beer like this, if I was a non-drinker I’d spend most of days wishing I wasn’t a non-drinker.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 hivemind (426) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 18, 2012
Dradt w Erica @ Jimmy’s No. 43. Pours murky hazy yellow with thin, even white head. Appearance is the highlight. Aroma is weak honey and wheat. Palate is skunky wheat, medium yeast, light zest. High carb, low intensity mouthfeel. Kind of lame and almost skunky. Pretty much what AB-InBev would have to say about a saison.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2011
Draught. Weak fruity aroma, slightly yeasty. Very pale yellow colour. Very small white head. The flavour is a bit yeasty, has a bit of strange yeast. Rather citric finish.

From the barrel at Get Real NY - pour is pale, hazy yellow. yummy funk, caramel with a dry finish and a nice yeasty spice. Carbonation is low (cask). Astringent, hoppy finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ben4321 (2213) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - AUG 19, 2011
Location: Draft at RnH, 8/8/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly light, some citrus, spice, and yeast/wheat notes
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a white head and some lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly simple, lightly sweet, and a bit of tart and sour notes
Palate: The mouthfeel is fairly light and clean, this one drinks decently
Overall Impression:
This is my first rating from Barrier, and another new (to me) brewery from NY. This brew is not terrible by any means, but it is a bit on the dull side. Drinkable, and good enough, but I wouldn’t rush out for it again.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 blipp (3891) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - JUL 9, 2011
10th rating, making this one official. Draft pours pale yellow with a white head. Flowery and spicy aroma with some light sweetness. The flavor is flowery with light mineral-like notes, and light spicy yeast notes and a medium dry finish. Good stuff.

Draught from GRNYBF. Poured gold. Kind of a weird afterburn on this one.
