Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry with good fine carbonation that nibbles. Fluffy pale malts bring a light creamy sweetness. Hops are spicy pine with a light citric peel. Mild orange and a trace of tropical fruits. More hop spice before a light finish. Orange, marmalade and hop spice linger on. Nice!

A hazed amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, pungeant floral resinous hops over grainy malts. In mouth, a smooth and restrained hops, pver a nice classic malt base, loads of hops in retro-olfaction, quite nice. Cask at Get Real NY, March 19th 2011.

On tap at Pony Bar. Pours a cloudy gold with an amber hue and a white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced. Aroma had a nice combination of citrus rind, bread, grain and light pine with just a bit of grass. Flavor began with citrus rind, grain and slight spice with a nice growing pine note to round out the beer nicely.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2013 Rerate at Bierkraft. Deep amber pour - thick white head. The nose is juicy and fresh - a lot of tropical citrus hops and a juicy mango/passion fruit character along with some nice bright bitterness. Fresh and delicious.

Tap at Dive Bar. Incredibly muddy pour. Opaque, muddy pour. Sort of a pale tan colour. The nose is actually pretty bright and hoppy. Lots of spicy pine character. A little bit of rye spice on the nose as well. Fresh toasty character with a nice assertive piny hoppiness. As the beer warms up a touch of light lemon peel works itself out of the back. Fairly resinous bitterness. Pretty tasty brew, despite the ugly pour. 8 2 7 3 15

32oz growler I picked up at the Barrier tap room. Pours a clear orange with some sudsy, lacing white head. Nose has a lot of citrus, grapefruit, meyer lemon, plenty of pine too, soapy, a bit of fresh grass and some dried grass, some honey, some mild grainy notes. Flavor follows right along, sweet, malty, just a little bit of caramel, some mild pepper, but this is really dominated by the hops, grapefruit rind, some sticky orange juice, pine, soap. Sticky finish.
