Hazy yellow color, small white head. Sweet fruity yeasty aroma with orange peels and citrus. Medium-bodied. Citrusy, sweetish American-Belgian yeasty-fruity flavor. Lemongrass and hops in the finish. Nice.

Growler filled at Big Z and consumed two days later. Pours a hazy pale gold with a moderate white head that lasted through the first two sips and left light lace. Very pleasant aroma of Belgian yeast that is both fruity and spicy. The flavor is very similar with the addition of some grapefruit citrus that emerges about five seconds after the sip and lingers briefly on the palate. Some grapefruit pith at the swallow that hangs around for about ten seconds before subsiding. Nice.

Location: Draft at Spuyten Duyvil, 4/13/13
Aroma: The aroma has plenty of Belgian yeast and spice, with some citrus fruits as well
Appearance: This one pours a hazy gold-orange color, with a small head and white lace
Flavor: The flavor leans way more to the Belgian side (yeast/spice), than it does to the hop side
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a fairly clean mouthfeel, and a mild dryness
Overall Impression:
Overall, this one is very Belgiany with some hops notes as well. It is not really very bitter at all, it is much more yeasty/spicy. It makes a ton of sense to me that this is on here as a Belgian Ale and not as an IPA as the name might have suggested.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. aroma of yeast, clove, light Belgian spices, and citrus. The flavor shows more of the hop profile (bitter hops, citrus hops) with the Belgian notes present but definitely pushed to the background. An interesting Belgian IPA as it’s more hop forward (a plus for me) but still lets the Belgian notes through. Good stuff.

Interesting beer, more of an IPA than a Belgian. The Belgian characteristics, like the peppery yeast, are subdued here. The appearance is a hazy yellow, white head. The aroma is pine hops, light spicy, yeasty notes. The flavor is exactly the same, more resiny hops. The finish is a resin hop bittering, some light spicyness. Enjoyable.
