On tap. Pours with a clearish bronze-brown body with a lasting off-white head. Aromas are malty, brown sugar, caramel, medium esters, roast and light citrus. Flavors are roasty, bready, malty, caramel, and a light hop character (citrus). Very lively carbonation for the style and a bit on the drier side. Still malt forward with a very light roasted character. Nice mild.

On tap @ RnH. Dark brown to black pour with no noticeable head. Aroma is a little bready and slightly hoppy. Watery mouthfeel and no flavor dominates or even gets my attention. Not offensive at all, but complexity kind of supercedes overall taste. Okay.

Barrier has been getting some attention lately - they have been written up in Ale Street News and they seem to be turning out some interesting brews. This is a style that is popping up here and there lately, and they did a really nice take on it. A mellow, easy drinking, bready ale that goes down well. Draft at RnH.

Tap at rattle with cujo. Pour is brown, has a significant hop presence for a mild ale.
