Interesting experiment, if not a total home run. The aroma is VERY spicy, ginger and pumpkin spices mainly, some vegetable matter. The appearance is a hazy gold/amber color, white head. the flavor is dominated by the same pumkin pie spices, and again some sort of cooked vegetables. The finish is VERY spicy once again, some pine and floral hops. Medium in body. Drinkable, and enjoyable.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2011 Draft at Pony Bar with Andrew, PJ and Brendan. Pours a bright hazy orange body with thin white lacing. Aroma is dominated by spice - ginger mainly. Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated with notes of ginger, spice, sweet malts, a touch of honey.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a hazy ruby orange with a thick off-white head. Aroma of tons of spices (ginger mostly, I guess I get some peppercorns as well). It smells like a potpourri! Flavor is mostly the same, although you get more of the malty base and those butternut squash notes. Some sweetness from the honey in the finish. What an interesting recipe and it actually turned out really well. Surprisingly uber drinkable as well. A great innovation by Barrier! 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]
