Growler from the brewery. Pours a dark orange-brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma of bready malt, grains, pepper and light spices. Flavor is bitter and spicy upfront with more bready malt and Belgian yeast in the finish. Some rye grains and pepper in the finish as well. A great spicy, grainy saison.

This feel more like a dry wine than a beer which makes it a little rough. Lots of grape tart flavor. All in all, not very beery, but I think that was sort of the point.

Draft at Bierkraft. The first thing I get is grapes and a nice tartness, this one is different for sure but I like it

Pours red to brown. Smallbut lasting head. Earthy soil aroma. Similar taste. Thin mouthfeel. Mild sweetness. Spicy finish.

Tap at RnH - Nose is very floral and delicate, rose and hibiscus (or something) with a light funky note. Barnyard note is very mild in this saison, opting more for herbal character. Tea-like tannins, grapes, grapefruit. Smooth bodied and dry with an tart, citrus puckering edge, with a funky finish. Tasty and unique.

Draft at rnh with streets a.d baron. Pours a hazy amber body with minor lacing. Aroma is tart, vinegar and fruity. Mouthfeel is tart with notes of sour fruit, vinegar and oak.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2011 On tap at rattle. Light and sweet bready brew. Pours brownish, honey and floral aroma, sweet, relatively tart, and caramel herb tang.

The aroma is sweaty, earthy. The appearance is a hazy orange, white head. The flavor is earthy, brown sugar. The finish is earthy, metal hops. Not bad.

Draft @ Get Real NY Belgian fest. Pours a light hazy mahogany. Taste is spiced bread, slight barnyard, tart fruits, some earth, and a hint of caramel sweetness to finish it off.
