2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 j12601 (4163) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - OCT 7, 2011
Bottle that I kept for too long. Whoops. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a large white head. Soft malt, definite age and possibly some infection. Not necessarily infected, but there’s something weird going on. Carbonation is huge, old paper and malt. Slight bitterness on the finish. Apple and vegetal notes. Dumped the bulk of this.

Bottle at ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting. Gold, haze, thin beige head. OK grassy hop. Pretty good drinking beer. Good grassyness. But a little dull.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 TomDecapolis (4000) - Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 28, 2008
22 oz bottle. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of corn, cream corn, stale malt extract...and maybe some floral notes. Flavor of caramel, corn, malt extract, light hop flavor. The flavor was a touch better than the aroma. Pretty much sucked.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cletus (6025) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 27, 2008
Pours caramel with a thin white head. Smells earthy with some fruity hints. Tastes of sweet malt, dark fruit and touches of english hops. Full bodied and enjoyable.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 CamdenD (771) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUL 6, 2008
Nice EPA. Sampled on draught from brewpub. Very authentic mild hop aroma and taste to this EPA. Palate is nicely crisp yet with a subtle follow-through, reminding you of a Fullers, just with something missing -- probably overcarbonated. Slightly less bitter than the ESB.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 18, 2003
Has a amber/golden color and a nice hop smell. Taste was slightly malted and finished with a crisp hop bitterness. Overall another great beer from Barrington.
