jjpm74 (3110), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Jul 27, 2008 Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells sweet and fruity. Tastes caramelly with some brown sugar and hints of figs. Decent. Aurelius (2507), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Oct 3, 2007 Very nice malty aroma. Fairly plain bottle and label. Brown beer. A little starchy, some toasted cereal, fruity, more of a brown ale. Very faint peat, light vanilla vapors. Mouthfeel is pithy. Finish is grain bitter. Thanks to DW. OldGrowth (1282), Cary, North Carolina, USA Apr 17, 2004 Bottle: Good nose - carmel, dried fruit, sour dough. Clear copper color, no head. Sweet and bitter flavors. Fruity, grape, apple, cherry, carmel. Smooth and sticky. Tasty brew, though I'm not a fan of this style, very drinkable. Ok overall muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA May 30, 2003 Extremely pale, almost yellow; weak earthy-floral nose, really wondered if I got the wrong thing here. No, there's enough earthiness to qualify as a Scottish, but the malt is very subdued, it is quite hoppy at the end..just unbalanced and weird.
