jjpm74 (3110), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Aug 1, 2008 Bomber. Pours copper with a thin tan head. Smells of resiny hops, some sweet malt. Taste blends strong bittering hops and malt nicely. MullMan (1015), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA May 29, 2005 clear ruddy copper color, light tan foamy head. aroma is hoppy but also a little sweet malt. flavor is mildy hoppy but good caramel malt. a little bourbon-like finish. thanks Maibockaddict! richlikebeer (747), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA May 25, 2005 thanks to maibockaddict and mkobes for brining this to the jimmack invt. poured a clear amber color with a little bit of white head, aroma was sweet and grassy. flavor had a great balance moving from the hops to a caramel malt flavor with maybe some raisin tones, sliding back to just a little bit of hops on the tail. a very drinkable BW, with just a hint of bourbon in the aftertaste and no trace of its ABV. jimmack (1212), Nutley, New Jersey, USA May 24, 2005 22oz. bottle thanks to MaiBockAddict and Mkobes. Amber color with a good sized tan head. Hoppy, floral aroma that is hard to describe. Lavender, perhaps?
Whatever I’m smelling I am enjoying it. Sweet malt flavor with some dark fruit, a bit of hops and a nice warming alcohol finish. Nice. willblake (1942), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA May 23, 2005 05.22.05 Bomber thanks to MBA and mkobes at jimmack04 invitational. DArk amber pour, thick head. Aroma is immensely floral and almost detergent-like aroma. My first impression was mens room hand soap, but in a good way. The floral notes are weirdly persistent and even when I can’t smell it, I’m still smelling it. Luckily, I like flowers. Maybe a bit light on the finish. Great malty backbone of scones with marmalade that really seems to hold up to the insane 11%. Thanks Dave and Mary!
