Commercial Description:
A dark but mild ale that light will just barely pass through, this medium to heavy bodied beer has a light hop character so the malts can do the talking.

on tap at barrio... nearly black pour with a creamy tan head and an abundance of rings of lacing. there is a mild ashiness on the nose behind notes of scalded cream, roasted grain, chocolate and a sour cream/cheesiness that i get from coffee. sweetness is kept very low... flavors include a coffee nuttiness, chocolate cream, malt, a light tartness and an awesome ashy finish. medium bodied with a slick texture and creamy mouth feel. simple, uncomplicated and well executed. 7/4/7/4/16/3.8

A good chocolatey porter with a malty character and just a bit of peat on the edges. Pours black as a night with a new moon and has a nice frothy brown head. A rather uncomplicated beer, but sometimes this is better than complicated and confused.
