Cask, handpump at the brewpub, The Exeter Arms, Barrowden, Rutland, whilst cycling in this Rutland Water area 14.05.11 Pours copper in colour with white rim of bubbles and a lacing of film across the top. There is a good bitterness to this, some fruit and toffee with the bitterness lasting throughout. Really nice beer and the best of the lot. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

3rd May 2008. On tap at the Exeter Arms Barrowden. Smooth malty beer with a light touch of hops. Nicely joined up and very drinkable.

The Exeter Arms, Barrowden. Foggy red amber. Mouldering apple and citrus aroma. A dab of Marmite yeastiness. Mellow apple peel and earthy hop goodness, backed up with buttery, vanilla malt nuttiness. Tasty bitter.
