2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours beautiful orangy golden, like Russian gold, shiny, vividly carbonated, oily in texture. Head is white, initially medium, quickly decreasing to almost non - exsistant, practically no lacing, head is foamy in texture, unstable and quite frisky.
Aroma: Strong, harsh and sharp notes of alcohol are dominating over the whole aroma, underneath gentle and shy note of caramel and aromatic hops, however, killed very quickly by alcohol when the beer gets warmer, gentle note of orange peal, cognac, rowanberry.
Taste: Front is rich and full, healthy notes of barley malt and slight notes of additionl barley grains, alcohol is naturally present but it is weaker in its presents than in aroma and balanced by heavy maltyness and comfortable hoppyness what proves its Polish Strong Lager category, additionally alcohol is balanced by lively carbonation giving the freshness and character to the beer especially when its cool in temperature. Finish duration is medium.
Palate: Body is full, texture is sticky sweet, carbonation on palate is lively, finish feel is moderately alcoholic, clean.

Canned (thanks fatphil and anna!). Metrorating on the way to Tivu. Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some sugary notes, alcohol as well as some slight metallic notes. Flavour is very similar, but in a quite nice balance. Not too offensive European Strong Lager.

Canned, 0.5l. Clear deep golden color, large frothy white head and average carbonation. Aroma of caramel malt, hops with light banana note. Sweet malty start followed by strong alcohol note, caramel and hint of a roasted malt. Finish is light bitter, but overall dominated by alcohol note. Medium body, sticky texture and low carbonation in palate. Nice try Barry, but better luck next time...
