pivnizub (7228) - Bochum, Porúří, - JUN 1, 2009
Draught: Deep golden to amber coloured, stable lacy off-white creamy head; solid malty nose with a light barnyardy touch over a hoppy background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; peppery hoppy-malty finish with a light sweetness in the aftertaste. Fine, archetypal franconian stuff...........

Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 2, 2011
Würziger Antrunk mit leichter Süße, wenig herb. Weiter würzig-süffig, passend. Die Herbe ist noch lange präsent, ebenfalls die leichte Süße. Nettes unauffälliges Bier. 9/8/9/9//9

fonefan (24928) - VestJylland, DENMARK - APR 18, 2010
Draught @ Brauerei Barth-Senger, Oberend 11, 96110 Schesslitz, Bavaria, Germany.
Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, nutty, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100402]

JorisPPattyn (6724) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 13, 2008
Draught Deep amber colour with a yellowish, dense head. Cookie malt, some meaty nostes, then discreet leaf notes coming up. Dry, very leafy, old dry bread taste, actually very enticing, ending earthy. Rather light bodied, much less lively than its 3 Kronen counterpart, but nowhere lame. Very nice; though absolutely un-spectacular, brutally good all the same.

Impressions from 1 of the 4 tables:
-Majestic head thrones atop the copper clarity, designing impressive lacing.
-Convincing caramel maltiness agrees with the earthy, resinous hoppiness in both aroma and flavor.
-An embracing herbal hop bitterness happily stays, producing a drying effect.
-The soft, prickly carbonation renders a great mouthfeel.
-Lovely, clean, drinkable authenticity from the gravity cask; a regional standard it seems.

On tap at the brewery.
