Cask conditioned at The Fox, Burwell, Cambs. Amber with white head. Surprisingly for a so called IPA this was full of toffee, butterscotch notes, sweet and frankly as far from an IPA as you could expect to get. Cardboard on the finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 dnas2 (705) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2006
Cask Handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. I really can’t see how this is an IPA. Amber-brown with a short head. Slight sweet toffee scent, very sweet with tangerines in the mouth; maybe also a hint of honey. Overall, I found this a bit too sickly for my taste.
