2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Christian (8548) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2009
Dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of fruit, caramel and diacetyl. Sweet and malty flavour with a slightly roasted finish, hurt by the diacetyl
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rune (4924) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 13, 2009
One-third pint at the concert by The Oysterband at GBBF 09. Cloudy, dark orange body. Slightly smoked smell of grain. Coffee malts with dried hops in the mix. More tart fruits towards the ending. Interesting English version of a dark weissbier where the wheaty part is partial lacking (Earls Court, 06.08.2009).

Bottle 50cl. Unclear light to medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is sour malty, earth, fresh leek. 2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ungstrup (23918) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 1, 2008
Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with sediment floating around despite very careful pouring under a beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of leek (porre) and celery - not much reminisence of a beer - more like a good soup. The flavor is sweet with a slight acidic edge and again notes of leek and a light touch of celery, leading to a dry acidic lemony finish. The body is thin. Thanks to fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 30, 2008
Bottle, thx to fonefan. This hazy orange beer with a small beige head has a dusty aroma with a tiny sourish touch, a decent maltyness and some bitterness. Not the aroma I expect and like in a dunkelweizen. The flavor is too sour and citric, with some malt and caramel, as well as a little note of cooked vegetables. Medium body, quite sourish. Sour and silghtly bitter finish. It the beer on the dark side? Don’t think so. Is it good? Don’t think so. Is it better fresh from the brewery? Guess so. (080822)

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Peachy, orange fruity and mild spiced aroma. Flavour is herbal and spiced with a mild citric note. Lingering citric and slight vegetable like finish. A bit strange yet not unpleasant.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sm89walt (1419) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 22, 2008
Bottle from the Little Beer Shop. Poured a dark, dark brown with a slight beige head, until it slowly dissipated. A medley of smoky malt and clove aromas, with a full flavour profile including coffee, roasted malts and dark fruits. A decent body and a lasting bitter finish with hints of liquorice and molasses in it. I didn’t pick up on any wheat characteristics in this one though.
