Cask, GBBF 07. Gold with a thin white head. Nose is hoppy with some summery fruit tones. Mouth is much more malty and gives a bit of a disjointed feel from the aroma. Palate is slightly spiced and sweet.

Bottle conditioned, from Beer Cellar in Lincoln. Hazy gold, thin white head and gentle condition. Pleasant citrusy hop notes, honey sweetness and faint chalky yeastiness in the nose. Quite dry and bitter in the mouth some of which is yeast the rest hops, a gentle citrus note and trace sweetness also become apparent. Thin, dry and bitter in the finish with some refreshing retronasal pine notes.

Golden colour. I must admit I was surprised to see coriander in the list of ingredients as I didn’t pick it up at all at the time. An initial whiff of sulphur gave way to markedly grassy, clammy hops, underlaid by sweet malt. On the palate, although it was dry, the hop presence was soft but there were tropical fruit nuances too. Dry, quite bitter finish. Not bad, but it didn’t really grab me. Cask (gravity dispense) at Bedford Beer Festival 2004.
