COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned, Seasonal, Winter;
What better way to see the old year out than with a pint of this deep reddish bitter.

Dark reddy black. Mellow roast aroma, slightly sweet, but not stupidly so. Taste not as good initially, but it does settle down. A little raw, but pleasantly spicy. Watery in places. Some vegetal aspects later.

Cask conditioned handpump Victoria Northampton ( every one’s a daze pop in). A pretty much black beer with a beige head and lacing. There are some good bits to this such as chocolate and a bitter mouthfeel, but there are also off putting veg notes throughout. Not sure if that is a condition thing in this case or if it’s just a weird beer. Initial promise but issues.

Nice, fruity, moderately bitter ale. Characterful and nearly quaffable... Thanks for this one, Fin. Pours hazy reddish-brown with some sparse gray bubbles on top. Punchy nose with passion fruit and hops. Fruity and dryly bitter flavor, almost tangy. Soft carbonation. Refreshing. It’s the sort you could get hooked on if it were offered at your local.

Bottle, dropped off by Marc Bartram with a case of his beers and a load of Casks for the Beer Festival Appearance is a sort of muddy brown with a fast disappearing beige head. Aroma is slightly earthy and also sweet with some yeast. Taste is pretty good, juicy some prunes even citrus fruits flood through, bitterness lingers, not bad at all.
