Cask at Cambridge Blue, Cambridge. Gold with a white head. Barman said, while making a hash of pulling the pint, ’This is my first day. This is so not me.’ I had to agree with him. Hairy malt aroma with hints of chocolate and underarm. Complicated taste with malt, grass and nettles. Sharp bitter finish. Served a little warm. Didn’t much like it, to tell the truth.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Wig and Pen Northampton. A reddy coloured beer with a hint of amber. The aroma is oaty and has a cracker note. The taste is oaty and there’s a crunchy feel to it. Good alcohol notes also. Tasty.

Típica bitter inglesa. Coloração escura ´transparente. Creme pouco denso e consistemte, sumiu do copo em poucos minutos. Carbonatação excessivamente baixa, assim como o sabor. Notas de couro e malte torrado.

Bottle. Amber/brown with a small off-white head. Aromas are sweet biscuit and toffee malts with mellow citrus and spices. Flavours are sweet and malty with grapefruit bitterness. Yeasty and very soft on the palate. Quite bitter on the finish. Has a nice foam mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Bottle conditioned, from Beer Cellar in Lincoln. Amber gold, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Pleasant flowery hop nose with low hints of citrus grapefruit, gentle sweet malt and hop resins. Quite thin and slightly yeasty in the mouth with some solid hop bitterness emerging along with a faint nutty maltiness. Finish is dry and hop bitter with some lingering yeast and bubblegum notes.
