Sampled at the brewpub. Opaque amber brown color. Blotchy white head sticks to the glass but does not lace. A curtain of foam is left. Interesting and unusual. LOTS of hops gave their life for this glass of beer. They offer grapefruit tartness and plenty of bitterness. Some pine. Malt can be tasted but only a tiny amount. This is a hugely hopped beer. It is almost an imperial. Hopheads will love this beer. It is a very nice IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy brown orange with a thick white head. Aroma of hop oils, citrus, caramel malt. Flavor of nice bitter citrusy hops upfront with some sprucy/piney hops and a solid malt base. Top notch - by far the best of the Lumber Barons offerings and a solid IPA. 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]
