3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tombyars (1204) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 3, 2011
Tasted this at the Paisley Beer Festival in April 2001. Cask, gravity dispense. Pale amber in colour with a thick white head. Sweet orange fruit in the long aroma. Thick creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a juicy orange peel taste coupled with sweet golden syrup. Slight fragrant note to the light hop presence in the aftertaste but not cloyingly so. Warming alcoholic fruit laden finish. This is an enjoyable ESB style bitter and highly recommended.
