Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 1 December 2009. Clear gold colour. Hint of diacetyl. Some hop character but more of an ESB than an IPA. Satisfactory but nothing out of the ordinary here.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Copper colour, some diacetyl on aroma, but this doesn’t affect it too much. some nice toffee, bit of dryness on finish. OK.

Cask at the Pig’s Ear Fest ’09. Alround rating: Caramel buttery malt, diactyl, lightly peppery, but the diactyl dominates for me. Im guessing someone ran into the room where they were making it with a bag of hops and tried to scare it and in turn the person brewing said, i’ll call it an IPA as it has seen hops before.
