Our flagship India Pale Lager showcases a copper color that gives way to a crisp, clean lager beer perfectly balanced in its massive complexity. Dry-hopped and aged on an in-house toasted blend of white and red oaks. The IPL finishes clean and smooth, with hop aromas of wild flowers and pine, and a unique maltiness highlighted by the subtle oak character.

650ml bottle style aluminum can pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is pine with floral notes. Taste is a pine hop bitterness with a light caramel malty sweetness. An amazingly tasty strong lager style brew. Highly recommended.

Sampled at the brewpub - Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. The aroma has piney / floral hops, fruitiness, smooth lager-like malt and some toastiness. It has a medium crisp body with semi-soft carbonation. The flavor begins with more sweetness that the aroma, smooth rich lager malt, nice spice and some earthy hoppiness. The finish shows earthy/woody hops and a nice amount of bitterness. Enjoyable.

Tap. A: Cloudy orangish red with a white head. N: Pine, nuts, dulled pineapple, toffee, toasted wood, biscuit, cracker. Rye and peppercorn. T: Bitterness with a round sweetness. M: Creamy, medium light body. O: A hearty beer that might strike one as a hoppier lager rather than an IPL.

Bottle shared by Yasunori. 6.8% a deep honey amber with a solid beige head. Honey, mild caramel & hop aroma. The taste is quite rich in malts, spicy then a bit of pine & floral hop notes. It has some vaguely ginger flavor as well. Quite good & easy to drink.

Tap at Jernigans the other night. Was okay. Iíd seen it in the store a few times and was curious. Hoppy enough in the India dept and drinkable enough in the lager dept. Not sure Iíd go out and buy a 6er anytime soon, but I do love these bottles!

From a small sample at a tasting. Deep red amber colour, nice lacing. Loads of hops in aroma. Balanced by sweetness and fruit in taste. Full but clean beer. Nice and drinkable.

Visual: My 2nd Base camp brew that Iím trying. Pours rich copper brown with a smallish head, lots of lacing, ringed retention, lots of fast and steady streams. Nose: faint wildflower nose, almost nothing (lvl-1)-pungency Attack: incoming biting hops Mid-palate: crisp-creamy smooth mouthfeel, (lvl-3)-sweetness, (MAIN) caramel malt, piney hops, orange citrus Finish: medium-sharp bitter hops, mild oaky hopped malt finish. Summary: Quite drinkable with good complexity and balance. Admittedly I havenít tried many IPLs but this one makes me approve of the style.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a fairly thick light tan head on there. Nose is fresh and very hoppy, with some great citrus elements to it, almost like a lemongrass. Taste is light and fresh, and not as bitter as I would have expected; only a slight bitterness with a residual hint of sweetness to it. Not a bad drink.
