3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Fatehunter (752) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JAN 1, 2013From a 22oz metal bottle, one and half fingers of cork colored head. A hazy, copper colored body.
The smell of lemon and grapefruit.
The taste is interesting in a good way. Medium bitterness throughout with a short finish. Pretty mellow overall.
A little fizz in the texture. Moderate carbonation and medium body.
Great drinkability and from a metal bottle. Perfect for a camping trip.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dogbrick (6058) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Sample from firkin at the 6th Annual Rogue Firkin Fest at Green Dragon. The beer is a slightly hazy amber color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of ripe fruit and oak. Medium-bodied with flavors of floral hops, fruit and sherry. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aubrey (3347) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Interesting beer, though it has a somewhat distracting mustiness. Tons of fruit, with notes of pear, apple, grape, and mango. Smooth lager qualities. Woodsy and earthy, possibly too much. "Green" and grassy hop flavors are kind of overwhelming, but the floral-like bitterness is balanced.

Metal bottle in a lager glass. Pours amber with a cream-colored head. Aroma of floral hops with a little caramel and pale malts plus light oak. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the best beer, but interesting.

It’s made out of a light but strong metal (not sure what it is). Makes for safe and easy camping, hiking, biking, or backpacking. Save the cap, and use the bottle as an emergency water bottle. When you get lost in the wilderness, you can use the bottle to store your own urine for a last resort.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 dnbthompson (26) - Bend, Oregon, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Might not be fair for me to judge. All of the base camps had a underlying profile that i just didn’t relate to. Others might really enjoy that style. My tastes have been ruined by the ultra hoppy beers of central oregon.

Aluma bottle. Pours clean clear rusty copper with head that falls quick. Nose is pretty much on the sweet caramel, ice tea, earthy, floral slight oak undertones. Cleaner and crisper tasting that I was anticipating. Herbal tea maltiness, pepper, honey, finishes with some oak and then more pepper in the finish. Kind of a strange beer.

On draught at Base Camp. Such a smooth and hoppy (in a floral citrusy way). Flavor of apricot shines through. Did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did.
